Where some folks see weeds, my dad saw opportunity! Opportunity to add some magic to their childhood and mow a giant maze in our backyard! ::Feeling blessed::
Share Day at Preschool with her beloved Lylette. That is a proud smile!
The girls got haircuts this week – at a fun place where they get to watch a movie, blow bubbles (INSIDE!) and have their hair sprayed with Sparkle Spray. The stylists also did lovely braids – all for a very reasonable price. What a treat! (Yes, Sedona slipped and landed on her nose the day before. Poor Darling.)
OHMYGOODNESS.
“Boys and Girls of Mrs. ___’s class this is my “free” share. She is my sister, Marissa, and I like her. (Whispers to Marissa to say something) She is five. (They hug each other) Her name has seven letters and I like her.”
Our butterflies emerged this week!

Now, for the Tooth Fairy segment of our program:
Sedona’s adult teeth were coming in (you can see it there in the first picture), and her baby teeth weren’t budging. So tonight the Tooth Fairy is going to reimburse the brave soul for FOUR of her bottom front teeth. She never once complained or balked. She would have liked to have had the one tooth that showed any hint of wiggling to come out on its own, but teeth were turning this way and that, and every now and then it was hurting, so they had to go. She was amazing!
Before – Thursday evening:
This Morning at the Dentist Office:
She is so adorable. You might not be able to see it, but Sheepie’s ears match her hair. This child was a TROOPER, let me tell you.
I don’t know who needed the hug more! And Marissa was ready to help and put her healing sister’s needs before her own, until the end of the day, when she piteously cried that none of the (soft) food in the house was for her. (It would be, if she liked it…)
SO very, very brave. I’m so glad we brought her “Hospital Blankie” along. She received it from the very excellent Children’s Hospital Orange County when she broke her arm, and it has held a special place in her heart ever since. The nurse was so sweet to let her use it and for her to be able to have Sheepie right there. She didn’t seem to be too relaxed on the nitrous oxide, and she surprisingly was not one bit silly with it, either, but she was content to watch the bunnies on the Max and Ruby TV show (God knows our every need) and have all that apparatus around her.
Doesn’t EVERYONE heal from oral surgery with a pillow fight? No?
(Actually, she recuperated inside for most of the day. Such a good girl to be so still when she would rather be zooming around. Once we went outside, we started off simply resting on the trampoline (THANK YOU, Bubbe & Zayde!) and getting our patient out for some sunshine and fresh air. Then Marissa decided her sister needed pillows, pillows and more pillows, and the rest is history.)
Marissa’s getting some air here.
And now for the AFTER:
She is amazing! What a cutie! She even had a precious little lisp for a while!
As beautiful as ever. I love you, My Girl.
Until next time, my Sweeties, when hopefully I will be sharing about our visit down South (just as soon as I locate all the pictures that were taken on three different phones…)
